Overnight Oats are perfect for breakfast AND easy to make. You prepare them the night before and when you wake up they are ready to be eaten. I have two delicious recipes for you that are completely #eatclean and contain some superfoods: one with Coconut, Chia Seeds & Cacao and one with Banana, Almond (butter) & Linseed. Very healthy, good carbs and no hassle!
Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day and oats are the perfect breakfast food, because they contain good carbs that give you an energyboost and thus get you kickstarted for the day from the moment you put them in your mouth. If you prepare oats with almond milk (or any other kind of milk), put them in a jar and leave them overnight, they will have soaked up all the fluids in the morning. Therefore, you don't have to cook your oats or go through any other hassle, which is great if you're not a morning person, like me.
I have used Chia seeds, which contains omega 3-6-9 (good fats) and are high in fiber and iron (will give you energy). Besides that I used Cacao nibs, which contain anti-oxidants (good for the skin). To make it smooth and creamy I used Almond butter, which contains good oils and carbs (energy). For the crunch, I used Linseed, which contains omega's as well and will make you poop (which is important too you know). As a special ingredient I used PB2, which is peanut powder. When you add water to it, it gets the consistency of peanut butter. However, you can also add the powder to smoothies, cakes, cookies etc. All of these ingredients are good for your health, but will also help keep your skin, hair and nails in good condition.
