Glossybox vs. Truly Yours #round2

It's that time again! This morning I received the Truly Yours box and this afternoon I received the Glossybox. Andd....... papapapammmm.... Glossybox wins this time!!!!

Let's first look at Truly Yours. I got so excited when I saw the soap (which was outside the actual box), but when I opened the real box I wasn't so excited anymore. It has fake purple nails in it (not my thing, not my color), facial masks that I sell in the store I work (so I basically have used all of them already) & a lipcolor which is so horrible I can't even describe. They describe it as an 80's classic. It is a yellow 'lipstick', but when you put it on your lips it turns into a color.... like what am I.. 5 year old??? No... so cheap.. blegh. The only thing that I might still like is the all natural shampoo and conditioner, and of course I will also use the Jil Sander sample. Overall... big disappointment!

So nowwww.. the moment you've all been waiting for :-p.. GLOSSYBOX..!!! Well... the box is PACKED first of all: most products are fullsize. Second of all: I like everything in it and that does not happen very often. All brands are good quality and are impossible of disappointing anyone. It has Garnier BBcream, John Frieda Full Repair Serum, Zoeva Eye Crayon, No-Ad Aftersun Lotion and a sample size of Max Factor's Masterpiece mascara. .... who can not like that ???? LOL.. I don't have to go out shopping for a few months hahah.

Last time I picked Truly Yours over Glossybox, so that's 1-1... but honestly.. from what I've seen and heard, if you are doubting which one to choose, just go with the Glossybox. Overall it has been way more satisfying!!
Unfortunately it was my last time of receiving both of them :-(.. I want to save up for New York, so all unnecessary stuff has to go for now. However, when I like the boxes and they're not yet sold out, I can still try and order them, so I'll just do that. Bye now xoxo

Yesterday's dinner

Yesterday's dinner with my colleagues was fun! The food was soooooooo good. We took some of everything, so I ate lots of different things. Since I was so focused on the food I forgot to take pictures lol. By the time we were ready for dessert, my brain started working again and I took some pics. They were so gooooood! The one in the right corner was my favorite.. a caramel something. I have no idea what the name was, but I'm craving it right now lol. We also shared it .. unfortunately I didn't eat it all by myself X-D.. The one in the right corner is Oreo Cookie Cheesecake!
Btw, it was so nice out yesterday! I loved walking home. (Almost) summer evenings are my favorite <3

Morning Run

I went on my first run with my new shoes this morning :-D. There is a parc pretty close to my house and since the sun is shining, I thought I'd go there. It was soooo nice. I ended up running 2.08 miles, yayyyy.. that's definitely much better than the first time I went. The rest of my day will be pretty nice too. I need to make some Protein Pancakes to take to work tomorrow and tonight I will be going out to dinner with my colleagues. Yes Yes.. tty later!

My Healthy Diet: Day 2

Day 2... oooooh yeah Day 2. I just came back from RPM and Tanning (can I count that in as a workout lol) and I told you I'd keep you informed about my diet, so here it goes.
Tomorrow I will be going out for breakfast and out to dinner. Oh oh... I will try to eat as clean as possible. For dinner we are going to a mediterranean restaurant with a somewhat healthy menu, so it shouldn't be that difficult.... hopefully.. tty later xoxo stay stronggg

Day 2

Lunch:
Yum Yum, my delicious Healthy Burgers --> recipe

Pre-Gym Food:
I wasn't that hungry today, because I had a bigger lunch, so I just did something small. Toasted a slice of Wholegrain Bread, put some Soy Spread on it and Peanut Butter. On the side I put some pieces of Celery (which I btw hate) filled with Hummus.

SUMMER

It is the most beautiful day today ... really.. the first real summerday. I am so happy! I get so depressed when it rains or when it is dark out.. blegh. Today I was extra lucky, because the sun came in right through my window... so I opened it and went sunbathing on my floor. Who needs a garden?? LOL.. yeah I'm sorry, I am a bit weird, but at least I got my dosis of Vitamin D xoxox tty later

My Healthy Diet: Day 1

There are certain foods that are really helpful when you work out a lot. They are full of proteins, which is basically your muscle's food, and they give you energy to get as much as possible out of your workouts. If your goal is to loose weight, proteins are also essential. Proteins will make you less hungry and will burn more calories, because they stay in your body longer and so your body has to use up more energy to burn them.

Today I had a really good day of 'Fitness Foods'. I did groceries this morning and got SO much... I want to try everyting at once now haha, but I only used a few of my 'items' lol. I want to show you how I eat on a daily basis, mainly lunch and dinner/pre-/after-gym, because my breakfast is almost always the same and I already wrote about it --> here.
I really needed to get back on track after a week of no workouts, because of painful ankles. Yesterday and today I did RPM (kind of spinning workout) and my ankles feel a little better. Hopefully I can go run tomorrow :-)!!!
Anywayssssss... enjoy .. !

Day 1

Lunch:
Oatmeal cooked with milk and peanut butter. I added Chia Seeds, Milled Flaxseed/Almonds/Walnuts/Q10 and a banana.

Don't laugh at me, but I never made oatmeal before. In the Netherlands oatmeal isn't that common. I literally don't know anybody that makes it. So I looked up some recipes online and came up with my own creation. It tasted fabulous, so I guess I did good lol.

Pre-Gym Food:
Baked (in oven) Sweet Potato & Greek Yoghurt

OMG.. I LOVE SWEET POTATO. This again is a food that I never made before, because it isn't very common here, only among people from South-America. I just washed the potato, put foil around it and left it in the oven for 75 minutes. It came out so yummy and the Greek Yoghurt makes it taste even better. Please try .. you'll love it :-)

Recipe: Healthy Burger

I was craving burgers, but I want them to be healthy, so I came up with one <3 (well, nigella helped me a bit). This burger is half Meat (lamb, which is more lean) & half Bulgur (which is full of fibers). I mixed it all together and put in dried mint and lemon juice. For the sauce I used Greek Yoghurt. Because my dish has a little mediterranean twist to it, I put in cucumber, the same dried mint and cumin. Tasty! All you need. The rest of the cucumber I simply cut up. Now, you have a healthy meal, with BURGERS!!!! lol.. heaven right?? enjoy xoxo

Ingredients burger:

Minced Lamb
Bulgur
Dried Mint
Lemon Juice
Garlic

 Ingredients sauce:

Greek Yoghurt
Cucumber
Lemon Juice
Dried Mint
Cumin

Sunbeam Necklace!

So this looks like a modern necklace right? Like you'd wear it now. Yep.. only I bought it about 10 years ago lol. You see a 13 year old wearing this necklace? NO lol. I bought this at a fair (from a woman that made all the jewelry herself) and basically never wore it. Recently I thought of it and I figured it would be perfect to wear now. Simple outfit, crazy necklace. Only thing was... I couldn't find it at my mom's house. Now, she's moving and she was cleaning out the attick the other day.. guess what.. she found my necklace. Whooohooo.. Like it?

Homemade Lentil Soup

Ever since I went to Syria I have an addiction: Lentil Soup!!! I ate it EVERYWHERE lol, cuz so do they. Now.. I have the best Lentil Soup recipe and I am ready to share :-)! I have a Turkish friend and I am also very close with her family. When I visit them I always end up in the kitchen with her mother. I like to see how she cooks and write every single thing down.
This is her Lentil Soup recipe that I now have made my own and keep in my recipe box (cute huh.. !! It has all my written recipes and recipes out of magazines in it).

Ingredients (2-3 cups):
1 Onion
2 Carrots
1 Big Potato
Red Lentils
Salt
Cumin
Lemon Juice
Ginger (optional)

Put some oil in the pan, cut the onion up and fry 'm till they get brownish. Put a little salt in it and throw the lentils in (as much as you like.. wash them before you add!!). Stir it and then put in the raw potato and carrots, cut up in even pieces (if you cut them a little smaller, they will cook faster). Then put boiling water over it (kettle love!) en let everything boil until the potatoes and carrots are soft.
Now you have to mix everything, until it is all smooth and soup like.

It will get thick very fast, so don't be too careful with the water, otherwise you'll end up with a mousse :-p. You can add as much water as you want. I like the soup to be a little thicker. Just remind yourself that when you add water, you have to put in some more cumin and lemon juice as well.

It is very healthy and it doesn't need a lot of side dishes. Normally I can't just eat soup for dinner, unless I'm sick or something. But this soup is so rich that you won't be hungry after. The only thing I like to eat with it is fried tortilla, but of course you can also just roll one up and dip it. Yum yummm..
Today I added Ginger.. Ginger boosts your metabolism up to 20% for about three hours!!! Isn't that great.. and all you have to do is eat it.

Bralets!!

I lalalove these bralets from topshop.com.. LOVE LOVE LOVE. The black one is obviously a studded bralet (which I wore for my Queen's Day outfit) and the other one is more like a mint green corset (the color isn't very clear in this picture :-(). I might wear the black one by itself with a long skirt, hight-waisted pants or shorts & the green one I will wear underneath a blouse or jacket .. since it still looks more like underwear. Cute huh?

Green Apple & Strawberry Protein Pancakes

Ohhhh.. how I was inspired again by honeyedapple.blogspot.com! She posted a really nice recipe for Protein Pancakes on Istagram, so today I made my own. I did it a little differently and used different ingredients, but the idea is the same :-)... delishhh

Ingredients (for about 4 pancakes):

3/4 cup of oatmeal
1/2 cup of cottage cheese
1 tblspn chia seeds
1 tblspn hemp seeds
2 eggs
1 scoop whey protein (strawberry flavor)
1/2 cup soy milk
1 apple

I have a blender, so I put everything in and mixed it like that. Put a little coconut oil in the pan and start making pancakes. Put the mix in the pan and then press in parts of the apple (I used green apples, because I like that they are a little sour).. Of course you can use any kind of fruit .. don't have to use apples if you don't like them :-). The cottage cheese makes these pancakes so soft and creamy yummmm! To sweeten, I put a little syrup on top, but it's not necessary.. if you do, don't overdo it lol.

Outfit: Lovely Lace

I said before that I don't like most of the lace shirts that are in stores now. Most of them look like t-shirts and have the most boring flower pattern. Not this one though.... it has the most pretty bottom and a very classic pattern. I love it... excuse my UGGS.. forgot my heels at my moms that day :-p.

Keep up with me today.. Later I'll be posting my Protein Pancakes inspired by honeyedapple.blogspot.com... hope they come out as delicious as hers did :-D

Lace shirt: River Island Leggings: Zara Accesoiries: H&M Shoes: you guess! (:-p)

Forgotten Lunch

I did a good workout yesterday again and had a good lunch, that I forgot to post lol. I did 20 minutes of cardio and a little bit of weight training (I was feeling my back and hips, so I took it easy). Then I went swimming, to take some of the pressure of of my joints, but still get a little bit of workout. One of the reasons  I am in LOVE with my gym is because after all this, there is the best sauna and turkish steam bath everrrrrrr AND a swimming pool. Oh it was so great.. I totally relaxed.
So yeah.. this was my lunch :-)
A wholegrain sandwhich with pesto, mozarella and spinach. I actually wanted to add tomatoes, but uhmmm .. I didn't have any lol.

Outfit of Today: Cutie..

This outfit is so cute.. almost too cute lol. The dress is a layered chiffon dress in a light pink/beige. I wore it a while ago with a black legging and black suede shoes. The necklace I actually returned. I liked to wear it once, but I got bored with it after that. I wouldn't wear it very often and I honestly don't like how everybody is wearing it... so I returned it hahah. Still like it with this outfit though :-p

Died and gone to heaven...

Omg I just died... that's what Rachel Zoe would say. And.. omg... I just died. My 'Kind of' Moroccan Lamb came out SOOOOOO good, yum!!! It marinated for two days, so I would have been pissed if it wouldn't have. It is so juicy and it has a crust yayyyyyyy.. this is my best lamb until now. I put it in the oven for 1,5 hours, so that ain't even that bad.
I cut all the meat off, so I can take some to work tomorrow and share with my mommy and friends. Spread the love :-p. (I ate it with some sour cream and pepper btw.)

So Yesterday...

Queen's Day ended up being fun after all yesterday! I went to lunch & dinner with a friend and her baby boy Jadyan Avery (9 weeks old awww). We walked through the whole city, where it was sooooo ridiculously crowded with people partying. Anyways, it was fun. We got to talk lots and eat lots haha. Of course trying to keep it within boundaries, but I did cheat a little. Nd .. oooooh the baby is so cute!!! I felt a little bit like a mommy :-p.. I kept stealing the stroller from my friend lol.

The food was crazy good. We went to this place called The Bagel Bakery, where they only use organic meat, vegetables and bread. We both had a small burger with garlic mayonnaise and parmesan cheese. OMG.. it was soooooo good. Also expensive, but I don't mind paying a little more for this thing. Yummmm.

I took a picture of my friend's burger, because of course Jadyan wanted his bottle when our food came. I had already finished mine before she could begin to eat hahah. Sacrifice, Sacrifice...
After the burger we shared a piece of chocolate cheesecake. Yeah.. that was really good!

For dinner we went to this restaurant that is very well known in the Netherlands, because it is part of a big chain. I had mussels and french fries. I didn't eat all of it, but what I ate was really good!! Now, the rest of the week I need to get back to eating healthy again lol. I'll do fine ;-)

On the train..

I'm on the train right now whoohoo. I had to go to school for an appointment and now I'm chilling with my best friends. They are always with me when I come from school: my Soy White Mocha without Whip Cream and my six pieces of Sushi. Yummm.. Tonight I'm going to do 'bodystep' at the gym and I'm pretty excited!! Can't wait. I will do an update on yesterday's Queen's Day events (since it ended up being a fun day after all) before I go to the gym, but first I have to finish some schoolwork. Talk to you later xoxo
